The Grafton Barber to raise funds for Climb with Charlie

The Grafton Barber has launched its #haircutsforcharlie initiative in the chain’s Dunnes Stores, Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre branch.
The fundraising drive is part of Charlie Bird’s Climb with Charlie fundraiser for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) and suicide charity Pieta.
The former RTÉ journalist was diagnosed with motor neurone disease last year, and is climbing Croagh Patrick on 2 April to raise money for both charities. He is encouraging members of the public to organise their own Climb with Charlie on the same day to contribute to the cause.
The Grafton Barber #haircutsforcharlie initiative will see selected Grafton Barbers open on 3 April, with all proceeds on the day going towards the Climb with Charlie charities. To date, over €500,000 has been raised.
Founded in 1961 by Hugh McAllister Sr, The Grafton Barber is an Irish family-owned business, which now has 51 outlets nationwide. It also runs an academy, along with a bespoke wedding service and mobile barber unit.
