Two Irish stylists among Glammies by Great Lengths winners

Two Irish stylists took home awards at the recent Glammies by Great Lengths, which took place in London on 21 March.
Lynn Knox from Streetlife Hair in Co Kilkenny won the Great Lengths Ireland Salon of the Year Award, while Linda Thornton from Lynda T Hairdressing in Co Wicklow took home the Great Lengths Creative Innovation Award.
Now in their 10th year, the Glammies recognise Ireland and the UK’s most talented extensionists, and celebrate the craft, creativity and business of hair extensions. Attended by over 150 guests, this year’s event was hosted by How To Cut It podcast founder Dom Lehane.
Trophies were awarded across a total of 16 categories, comprised of six specialist categories, plus regional awards, an award for charitable work, and the Great Lengths Trophy for Extension Excellence.
In addition to a Glammies trophy, all winners received tickets for a tour of the Great Lengths production factory in Rome, with two nights five-star accommodation, meals and internal transfers for two people. The prize package also includes social media coverage, and PR opportunities across both trade and local press.
“Once again, the Glammies by Great Lengths have shone a spotlight on the remarkable extensionists we have working in our incredible industry,” said Joscelin McCourt, CEO, HB Collective, home of Great Lengths. “The standard of entries improves year-on-year, and the 2022 winners should feel particularly proud to have beaten such fierce competition. Their creativity, passion and precision are an inspiration, and we are delighted to acknowledge and celebrate their talent.”
