Three independent Wexford beauty business owners have come together to open a shared space in the town.
Ink & Glow Studios is made up of Leah Cheung, who owns Leah Cheung PMU; Georgina Korzeniak, who owns GK Beauty Room; and Anna Hennessy, who owns Glow, Root & Ritual. They have taken over the lease of a premiese on Redmond Square, which was previously occupied by Skin Essentials by Mariga.
Cheung’s offering includes permanent make-up, fine line tattoos, eyebrow threading and laser tattoo removal, while GK Beauty Room specialises in permanent make-up, mesotherapy, PDO threads and laser treatments, and Glow, Root & Ritual focuses on natural facelifting and crystal healing facial treatments using Irish organic skincare products.
According to the trio, while each business will operate independently, the new studio will provide a collaborative space that brings together a range of beauty and wellness servicces in one central location.
‘It’s so nice to be able to open up with other solopreneurs in Wexford because with rising costs, it’s so hard to maintain a business by yourself, while having some form of work-family balance,” said Cheung.
“That was the reason we decided to open up together – we wanted to have a bit more freedom to spend time with our families, along with being able to grow our business. The three of us gel well together, and we are lucky that we have that sense of trust and respect between us that it can allow us all to grow individually, while also growing together.”
Ink & Glow Studios recently hosted its official launch and the newly renovated space is now open for business.
