A new salon in Co Tipperary is offering clients nanoplasty, a type of hair straightening treatment that is formulated with amino acids and collagen.

Located in Nenagh, Saor Studio is owned by Aisling Sheedy, who spent some time in Sydney, Australia, working in hair straightening salon BKT. She has now returned and opened her new business, which is offering the BKT Nano Pro system.

According to Sheedy, BKT is among the best nanoplasty brands on the market. “It is a vegan and organic treatment that is formaldehyde-free and suitable for all hair types,” she said. “The formula is made up of natural ingredients, including silk proteins, oils, amino acids, lactic acids, vitamins and minerals. Not only does it leave the hair really straight and healthy, but also silky, soft and shiny.

“It strengthens, repairs and straightens from within, providing smooth, frizz-free results that last up to eight months. I’m thrilled to bring this innovative service to Ireland and to be at the forefront of this haircare revolution.”

Over 200 salons offer BKT products across Australia, the US, Asia, Europe and UK.

Saor Studio had its official launch at a special event on 26 September and is now open for business.
