Our new Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards 2026 winners series sees us chatting to our trophy recipients about their career and business, and what it takes to thrive in the industry.
Beautique in Letterkenny, Co Donegal won Nail Salon of the Year, sponsored by The GelBottle Ireland, with co-founders and twin sisters Marta and Weronika Góral answering our questions.
Tell us about your career journey to date?
Our salon has now been running for 16 years, and from the very beginning it has been a journey built on passion, determination and consistency. We run Beautique together as sisters, and even from a young age we always knew this was what we wanted to do. We knew we wanted to create something beautiful and meaningful, and work within the beauty industry.
Over the years, we consistently worked towards becoming the best versions of ourselves professionally. We dedicated ourselves to improving our skills, following trends, continuing education and always evolving with the industry. Our goal was to create a salon space that we ourselves would love to visit as clients – somewhere professional, welcoming and relaxing, and with high-quality stndards.
One of the most important things for us has always been the quality and durability of our work. We want our clients to enjoy their nails for as long as possible, and leave every appointment feeling confident and happy.
What have been the highlights/moments you are most proud of?
We are incredibly proud of everything we have built so far. Creating a salon that continues to grow after 16 years is something very special to us. One of our biggest achievements is having a full calendar and such a loyal client base. The fact that our clients continue to come back to us year after year means everything to us, and shows that our work, quality and atmosphere are appreciated.
Winning a Beauty, Hair & Spa Award was also an incredibly proud moment for us. It is such a respected and professional award, judged by industry professionals, so receiving that recognition meant a lot to us both personally and professionally.
What do you love most about the industry?
What we love most is definitely the connection with people. We genuinely enjoy building relationships with our clients and being part of their lives over the years.
It is also incredibly rewarding knowing that after every appointment our clients leave feeling happier, more confident and better about themselves. Being able to make someone feel good, even through small details, is something very special to us.
In addition, we love the creative side of the industry and the fact that beauty is always evolving. There is always something new to learn, create and improve.

Are there challenges in the industry and how can they be overcome do you think?
The beauty industry is constantly changing and evolving, so one of the biggest challenges is keeping up with trends, education and maintaining consistently high standards.
Another challenge is that clients today expect not only beautiful results, but also professionalism, durability and excellent customer experience. We believe the best way to overcome these challenges is through continuous learning, passion, hard work and genuinely caring about the quality of your work and the people you work with.
What traits do you think are most important in order to thrive in the industry?
Consistency, passion, hard work and attention to detail are extremely important in this industry. We also believe that communication and building trust with clients is essential.
To succeed in this industry, you need patience, dedication and a real love for what you do – when you truly care about your clients and your standards, people notice.
Were you surprised to win a Beauty, Hair & Spa Award, and what does winning mean to you?
We were honestly very emotional and grateful when we won. The standard within the industry is so high that receiving recognition from professionals meant so much to us. Winning this award has given us the confidence and reassurance that all the years of hard work, dedication and commitment to quality are appreciated and recognised. It motivates us even more to continue growing and improving.
What advice would you give anyone who is thinking about entering next year’s Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards?
Absolutely believe in yourself, and go for it! Sometimes people underestimate their own achievements, but entering awards like these is an amazing experience and opportunity.
Be proud of your journey, your work and everything you have created. Hard work, consistency and passion truly do get recognised, and opportunities like this can open many new doors both personally and professionally.
