Dylan Bradshaw reaches out to clients with touch-up solutions and hair recharging advice

Dylan Bradshaw has reached out to clients on social media to let them know that W7 Cover Up Root Camouflage Kits and L'Oreal Hair Touch Up Root Concealers are available to order by email.

“These little life savers will keep you going until we reopen!” the Dublin hairdresser said in a Facebook post. “And remember, you will get through this isolation period without having to box dye your hair!”

“I’m telling clients to stay patient for the next couple of weeks until we know more about what’s going on – there’s so much speculation on social media,” Bradshaw told Professional Beauty Ireland. “I’d be saying that if you are thinking of using a box dye, don’t let a bad decision dictate how your hair is going to look for next year. We’ve got to take care of our hair, but this is a good time to think about giving the hair a recharge and a cleanse. You’re not using tools on it or blow drying it to go to work, so you’re probably letting it in its natural state. Ironically with this break, the hair is going to become much healthier.

“Women put their hair – and their skin – through a lot, so it’s nice for everyone to take a break from it. So think of this as a good time to recharge the hair, get it in good nick. People can’t get to the salon to have their hair done and that’s not such a bad thing either because now the hair is getting a bit of a rest and time out. After all this, we’ll come back stronger, hair wise and mentally.”

Like many other salons around Ireland Dylan Bradshaw, which is located on South William St, has closed until 29 March. This was the date initially dictated by the Government, but as the COVID-19 crisis evolves, it could be moved out. “The situation is changing from hour to hour so we’ll see in the next week how things are,” said Bradshaw. “I would have preferred for the Taoiseach to have come out and said a bit more. It would be nice for the economy to know a little more about where we stand so we can react better from day to day. But at the end of the day, we’re all getting a reboot to our systems, which were probably overloaded.”
